Text Typer is a web-based application designed for quickly jotting down notes. It automatically saves your text in your browser, ensuring that your content remains intact.
What is Focus mode?
Focus mode keeps your attention on writing: while you type, everything except the text box gently blurs away. It is off by default; use the Focus mode button below the box to turn it on, and your choice is remembered.
How does the auto-save feature work?
Your text is saved automatically to your browser's cookies and local storage shortly after you stop typing. Even if you close the tab or browser, your text will be there the next time you open the page.
Are my notes stored online?
No. Your notes are stored locally in your browser. They are not stored on any server or transmitted over the internet.
Will my old saved text still be here after the redesign?
Yes. The new Text Typer reads the same saved data as before, so text you saved earlier loads exactly as you left it.
Can I access my notes on different devices?
No. Notes are stored locally in the browser of the device you used. To move text to another device, download it as a .txt file.
What happens if I clear my browser cookies?
Clearing your browser's cookies and site data will erase saved notes. Back up important text with the Download .txt button first.
